We are seeking an Office Assistant to join our team.
This is a full-time opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- open facility daily - receive and direct families and guests - answer phones and direct callers to the appropriate destination - receive and sort mail, packages, and flowers - tidy facility before and after visitations, services, and conferences - input information into case management software program - prepare memorial books, register scrolls, casket scrolls, and flower sheets - receive and upload photos for programs and videos - create online memorial pages - assist directors and staff as needed PREFERRED
Experience:
- experience working in an office support role - experience using multi-line phone system and other office equipment - experience in customer service REQUIRED SKILLS:
- organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively - excellent communication skills - proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment - attention to detail and accuracy - initiative - a heart for service - a professional appearance (business casual) - an administrative skill set - an ability to work in a lighthearted and relaxed, yet serious atmosphere - a strong phone etiquette - patience to be a part of a growing firm - patience to love on self-centered people Death care at Chamberland swings between busy and slow; there are times of steadiness and times of busyness.
This role is ideal for someone seeking fulfillment by serving others, someone with a desire to easily supplement another income, or someone with a desire to maintain their skill set.
The hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday.
The pay is $16 per hour.
Paid holidays off include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas upon hire.
Paid vacation, paid sick time/PTO, and 401K match.
