Pharmacy Administrative Assistant

The Pharmacy Assistant ensures information in the patient record is accurate and complete and isresponsible for assisting in the clerical duties involved in the daily operations of the pharmacy, asallowed by law and/or regulation.
Education/
Experience:
o High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
o One to three years of home infusion/home health experience preferred.
o Bilingual preferred.
Major
Responsibilities:
o Maximizes the efficiency and productivity of the pharmacy and delivery operations.
o Ensures all written documentation is filed/scanned into the patient record in an accurate andtimely manner.
o Assists in effective communication between the patient and the company, to includedocumentation of suggestions, complaints, and requests.
o Answers phones in a professional and courteous manner.
Directs all calls appropriately andtakes accurate messages.
o Documents all activities appropriately.
o Answers and initiates communications related to providing pharmaceutical care.
o Assists the patient delivery representative in orders, receiving, maintaining, and tracking allinfusion related equipment.
o Fulfills the duties of patient delivery representative when required.
o Performs other duties and special tasks/projects as assigned.
o Understands and adheres to all external accreditation review standards, applicable state, local,and Federal laws and/or regulations, including maintaining patient confidentiality throughabiding by HIPAA laws/regulations.
o Understands and adheres to company policies and procedures.
o Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with internal and external customers aswell as all company employees.
o Displays a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times.
o Meets expectations for customer/patient satisfaction and anticipates customer/patient needs.
o Handles customer/patient complaints in a fair and empathetic manner.
o Completes continuing education and training as assigned by supervisor.
o Competent with office computer programs (i.

DripSync, CPR+).
o Competent at partner programs (i.

o Effective written and oral communication skills.
Health Status Requirements:
o Ability to lift 20 pounds.
o Appropriate immunizations current.
o TB screen (as required by policy).
o Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver.
o Other state required health tests allowable by law.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
