Hotel Front Office experience preferred.
Must be a team player and willing to take care of our guests in a professional manner.
Purpose for the Position:
Provides attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests during check-in, throughout their stay, and during checkout while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.
Essential
Responsibilities:
Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
Issues room key and escort instructions to Bell person or directly to guest as appropriate.
Date-stamps, sorts, and racks incoming mail and messages.
Transmits and receives messages using equipment such as telephone and fax.
Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests and shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directions.
Keeps records of room availability and guests' accounts.
Computes bill, collects payment and makes change for guests.
May make, confirm, and cancel reservations for guests.
May post charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone by hand or machine.
May make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations for guests.
May deposit guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe-deposit box.
Verifies the status of all wake-up call requests and ensures they are properly handled.
Follows all company policies and procedures.
All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.
Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, with all level of associates and guests in a friendly, attentive, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by associates and guests.
Receive guest complaints and/or requests and ensure that appropriate actions have been taken.
Communicate with other departments as needed via telephone.
Operate computer systems to track guest reservations and assigned rooms.
Provide room availability information to sales personnel upon request.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag.
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Frontera Hotel Group as required by scheduling, which may vary based upon the needs of the hotel.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of guest information.
Work cooperatively with all hotel associates.
At some locations, may be assigned driving duties using company vehicle.
Reliable transportation to/from hotel and events is required.
Physical Demands:
Position involves indoor work and typically involves standing throughout the shift.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally, and operate computers, copy machines, telephones, and other office equipment.
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Education and
Experience:
At least a high school diploma or GED preferred.
One year of previous relevant experience required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
