Job Description:
A caregiver supports residents with difficulties completing basic tasks and assisting those with disabilities.
Duties include assisting with administering medications and personal care tasks as needed and following the residents' prescribed healthcare plan.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities Transport residents and ensure on time arrival to all medical and non-medical appointments using company van Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency, such as falls, change in mental status or alertness Plan and prepare 2 - 3 nutritious meals daily, with consideration to residents' food restrictions Perform light housekeeping duties for residents that they cannot complete on their own Plan a monthly calendar of events to include outings, social and recreational activities Make requests for groceries and/or supplies in an organized and timely manner Report any unusual incidents or needed repairs immediately to the director Display respect for residents and coworkers and their personalities Perform laundry services at least once weekly and as needed Assist clients with personal care and hygiene as needed Always be a pleasant and supportive companion Help residents take prescribed medications Other duties as assigned Requirements Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary restrictions Proven experience as a caregiver (with pediatrics or adults) Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards Excellent time management skills Respectful and compassionate Physical endurance Strong ethics QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent Job Type:
