Job Description:

Working with the Global Business Services - BI Service Center, the Data Scientist will coordinate the development of analytical infrastructure and computational and statistical capabilities to enhance business results and decision making. The Analytics Specialist participates in the design of experiments and analytics; data sampling and mining; verification of data quality and information integrity; and the development of predictive models and data visualization solutions. The Analytics Specialist has responsibility for advising project teams and solution architects in the integration of analytical methods into Decision Support solutions and will assist customers in the selection of analytical methods and the interpretation of results. Close coordination with developers, user interface designers, data architects, and data integration (ETL) developers is required to ensure tight integration of functionality and toolsets. Must work independently and within project teams with minimal supervision.

Knowledge/Skills Required:
The ideal candidate will have 8
years progressive experience in information systems and Business Intelligence, demonstrating competency in the data analysis, advanced data warehouse technologies, computational and statistical solutions for business analysis, algorithm and model development, ad hoc exploratory statistical and data mining analytics, and presentation of complex analytic problems to business audiences.

o Experience with SAP Business Warehouse and HANA.
o Extensive experience building Business Intelligence / Analytics solutions, especially for finance, manufacturing, supply chain, or product quality (8
years).
o Graduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Econometrics, Computer Science, MIS or related field.
o Experience building predictive models on large datasets.
o Demonstrated quantitative/analytical skills in developing performance measures, failure models, root cause diagnosis.
o Experience with relational and next generation database technologies.
o Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and software engineering principles.
o Experience working with large, multi-source datasets and driving analyses to actionable conclusions.
o Experience with data visualization techniques and fundamentals of graphical presentation of information
o Proven ability to successfully work and partner across multiple functions in an organization.
o Strong verbal and written communications skills.

Knowledge/Skills Desired:
o Experience with machine learning techniques, neural networks, decision trees.
o Experience analyzing requirements for automated ETL (data integration) processes.
o Experience working with Agile Development methodologies, e.g. Scrum.

Education: Graduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Econometrics, Computer Science, MIS or related field.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
