Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join the Lonestar Forklift team.
As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining accurate employee records, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
This is a crucial role within our organization, as you will play a key part in ensuring that our employees are paid accurately and on time.
Duties:
- Process payroll for employees using our accounting software and payroll system - Calculate wages, deductions, and overtime based on employee timesheets - Ensure accuracy of employee data, including hours worked, benefits deductions, and tax withholdings - Benefit Administration:
Assist with the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions.
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees - Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues or errors - Generate payroll reports for management review - Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution - Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee information is maintained in the HRIS system - Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred - Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role - Strong knowledge of payroll processes and procedures - Proficiency in using payroll software (e.
g.
, ADP, Kronos) and accounting software (e.
g.
