Nurse Practitioner for a busy Infectious Disease Practice.
Nurse Practitioner, you'll be responsible for for ensuring the best patient care possible, includes conducting physical examinations, interpreting lab tests and overseeing patients' health.
Provider will float between 2 locations and must be committed to doing this.
Abides by company policies and procedures as well as INS standards of practice, OSHA guidelines, State Nurse Practice Act and state board laws/guidelines.
Administers ordered therapies according to prescriber order, facility protocols, INS standards and company policy and procedures.
Completes admission process as directed by Physician.
Performs physical assessment on each patient as warranted and for new consults as warranted by the patient diagnosis.
Documents all pertinent data in the patient's medical record.
Reports all significant changes or observations to the Physician and is responsible for the follow up on any problem which is identified.
Communicates effectively with other members of the team on patient status and observations.
Maintains patient confidentiality at all times by abiding by HIPAA laws and regulations.
Evaluates the patient's response to therapy and documents this finding in the medical record.
Attends monthly staff meetings and/or in-services.
Educates patients and/or family members regarding therapy plan.
Utilizes supplies and resources efficiently.
Participates in the Quality Improvement program.
Ensures that all medication orders are complete, appropriate, accurate and up to date prior to treatment.
Understands and adheres to all applicable state, local and Federal laws and / or regulations including maintaining patient confidentiality through abiding by HIPAA laws/regulations.
Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with internal and external customers as well as all company employees.
Displays a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times.
Works with center team to maintain the infusion center in a neat, clean and organized manner.
Meets expectations for customer/patient satisfaction and anticipates customer/patient needs.
Handles customer/patient complaints in a fair and empathetic manner.
Promotes Paragon culture by providing quality, comprehensive services to all customers through a team approach.
Performs other duties as required.
Completes continuing education necessary to maintain current licensure in all states licensed.
Completes continuing education and training as assigned by supervisor.
